Stinebaugh & Company is a leading Alaska Representative for manufacturers of HVAC equipment and systems.  Founded in 1992, Stinebaugh & Company has ten employees.  In general, we sell to mechanical contractors and end users throughout the State.

 

Position Purpose

The Inside Salesperson contributes to our sales-team goal of exceptional service through daily customer interaction.  This position requires a consistent and honest sales effort, the development of customer relationships, effective and timely problem resolution, and timely and accurate pricing and ordering.

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

·         Participate in and assist in the sale of HVAC equipment.

·         Interact with customers to quote prices, take orders, and effectively resolve problems.

·         Provide accurate and detailed equipment take-off and prepare proposals.

·         Provide complete and accurate order entry with correct pricing and materials

·         Work effectively with all departments to facilitate sales activity

·         Expedite orders

·         Source product through manufacturers.

·         All other tasks as assigned.

 

Nature and Scope

·         Reports to Sales Supervisor

·         Has frequent contact with customers.

·         Procedures for analyzing situations and making conclusions are diverse.

·         Typically considers among several options and past practice when solving problems.

·         Progress and results of work are periodically monitored.  Has flexibility to change or improve work procedures.

·         Deliver documents or product to customers, visit jobsites or remote locations.

 

Environmental Job Requirements

·         Located in a comfortable indoor area.

·         Under regular pressure to meet deadlines, quotas and/or must frequently deal with difficult issues related to people or situations.

 

Essential Skills

 

Minimum Qualifications

·         Must be eighteen years of age or older.

·         Must pass Drug Test

·         Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.

·         Education Required – The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of high school diplomas and/or GED.

·         Years of Relevant Work Experience Required - 0

 

Certificates / Licenses

·         Current Alaska Driver's License

 

Physical Job Requirements – Most of the time is spent sitting at desk or walking in the office.  There may be a need to stoop to move/lift material or equipment (typically less than 15 pounds).

 

Preferred Qualifications

·         A four-year college degree is preferred.

·         Relevant work experience is preferred.

·         The ability to provide accurate and detailed work.

·         Commercial HVAC product knowledge is preferred

·         PC proficiency in Microsoft Applications. 

·         Ability to navigate and utilize manufacturers' software programs.

The Sales Engineer contributes to our sales-team goal of meeting our customers' needs and providing exceptional service through daily customer interaction.  This position requires a consistent and honest sales effort, the creation & nurturing of customer relationships, effective problem resolution, and responsive and accurate pricing and ordering.

 

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

·         Take leading role in the sale of HVAC equipment.

·         Assist with the design & application of HVAC equipment and systems.

·         Provide accurate and detailed equipment take-off, pricing, proposal preparation and order entry.

·         Promote & sell HVAC equipment with owners, contractors, engineers, & end users.

·         Work effectively with other members of the sales team to facilitate sales activity.

·         Must have extensive software & computer skills and knowledge.
